About Us

Wind River Publishing since 1994. Publisher of the Skamania County Visitors Guide, Columbia River Gorge publication and Skamania County Fun Map.

The maps, articles and organizational layouts were perfect tools for our staff in working with visiting tourists and regular customers, plus with how many different locations, businesses and counties distributed through, we know for a fact that our advertising dollars were well spent in a very direct and functional manner.

Wind River Publishing not only provides us with a high quality guest directory but also takes the time to tailor the directory to our needs and the needs of our guest visiting. Our unique location here in the Columbia River Gorge requires that we be able to give our guest the best possible information on the wonderful things available for them to do while they stay with us. Our guest directory is a wonderful tool to use. Wind River Publishing has always been open to new ideas and gives timely service.

During my time as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Sternwheeler 'Columbia Gorge', I had the opportunity to work with Judy Bair, Wind River Publishing, on several ads for guestroom directories at lodging facilities in the Columbia River Gorge.  Most recently we also collaborated on an advertisement for the 2006 Skamania County Visitors Guide.  I have found Judy to be very professional, providing excellent guidance and advice.  She produces a superior product - the guest room directories are the perfect venue for services and attractions to get their information in front of visitors to the area. I am also looking forward to working with Judy on the 2007 Skamania County Visitors Guide in my new position with the Skamania County Chamber of Commerce.  The 2006 issue is a high-quality publication, showcasing the beauty and variety of activities available in Skamania County.

I received a copy of the Columbia River Gorge magazine while I was volunteering at the Vista House in May. I was truly impressed with all the events covered for the year. It is easy to read and extremely helpful in planning what you want to do. We are handing it out here in Cascade Locks as well as the Vista House and it is being very well received by everyone!

Hello! My name is Cindy Cartwright and this past weekend while visiting Multnomah Falls, I picked up a copy of the magazine Columbia River Gorge//Two States, Two Volcanoes & One Big River. It is an exceptional magazine and an excellent read as I sipped my morning cup of tea. Thank you for making such a delightful and informative magazine.

I wished I had picked up two copies so that I could send one to my family in Texas. I think this magazine is a perfect enticement for getting them to visit our beautiful area of the world. This magazine, more than any other, has a perfect blend of activities and events that will help individuals with various interests find something to do in such a beautiful place like the Columbia River Gorge.

I could go on and on about how much I like this magazine!

- Sincerely, Cynthia Amezquita Cartwright
